February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. This event is sponsored by the American Dental Association and “brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health for children, their caregivers, teachers and many others.” Colorado Dental Arts is participating in this campaign by bringing dental hygiene programs to Littleton elementary schools and giving free exams and x-rays to children that do not have a dentist.
Visiting Elementary Schools for Dental Health
Colorado Dental Arts is visiting Littleton elementary schools during the third week of February. We are helping young ones to learn about oral hygiene. This includes teaching about plaque, the right way to use a toothbrush, and the benefits of dental floss. Every child receives a free bag of dental goodies for use at home. Elementary schools that would like a visit may contact Colorado Dental Arts using our online contact form or by calling 303-872-9436.
Free Exams and X-Rays in February
During February, Colorado Dental Arts is offering free exams, including x-rays, for children without a dentist. Visiting a dentist regularly for an exam and cleaning is essential for good dental health. By beginning this habit at an early age, children get familiar with the dentist and the helpful things that happen in a dental office. Experience shows that this reduces dental anxiety later in life.
Dr. Thomas Froning and the entire team at Colorado Dental Arts encourage our neighbors in Littleton to join us in bringing dental health awareness to all children during National Children’s Dental Health Month in February.
